The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) organized in 1902,

There are 26 national/international sororities and women’s fraternities in NPC, each represented at the national level by an NPC Delegate.
It truly is a CONFERENCE of sororities and women's fraternities as it does not dictate how their internal affairs should be run.
Rather, all member groups of NPC have agreed upon certain standards of conduct, scholarship, inter-relations, recruitment, policy, etc. which are laid out in the NPC Manual of Information.
The website of the NPC is www.npcwomen.org.

There are over 580 College Panhellenics on campuses across the United States and Canada, as well as over 200 Alumnae Panhellenics in cities across the same.

FYI ... did you know there are almost 5.5 MILLION sorority women between all 26 of the NPC groups????
There are other national sororities, however, that are not part of the National Panhellenic Conference.
- the NPHC groups (National Pan-Hellenic Council, the national council of historically African-American fraternities & sororities),
- the NALFO groups (National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations),
- the NMGC groups (National Multi-Cultural Greek Council).
- the NAPA groups (National Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Panhellenic Association).
