The Release Figures Methodology (RFM)
First implemented in Fall 2003, the RFM is designed for Panhellenics utilizing a Fully Structured Recruitment model or a Partially Structured Model with Quota for their formal recruitment period.
It is a process by which the sororities on a campus are advised of the number of PNMs they need to invite to each round of recruitment in order to eventually make Quota.
The RFM has three primary goals:
- To give each chapter a statistical chance to attain Quota.
- To allow each PNM to investigate realistic options and ultimately match with a sorority for which she has a preference.
- To optimize the total number of matches, thus growing the entire Greek system while also achieving parity.
The basic premise of the RFM ...
The stronger recruitment chapters on a campus, the ones with higher rates of return, will release more PNMs in the early rounds. These stronger chapter are essentially releasing those PNMs they would eventually release anyway, but earlier on, thus giving those PNMs a more realistic picture as to their viable options in regard to affiliating with a chapter.
86 of Tri Sigma's 112 chapters are on campuses participating in the RFM.
Most of the time, a campus' use of the RFM will go along with use of a web-based recruitment management system. The two most popular are ICS and Campus Director.

- "Using Campus Director" written for our Sigma chapters and advisors.
