NPC Judicial Process
The NPC Manual of Information (26th Edition, January 2022) details the Panhellenic judicial process on Pages 82-95.
The judicial process addresses CPH violations, NPC UA violations, and recruitment infractions.
The process itself is pretty involved and full of specific policies, time frames, etc.
Sororities should remember that they should try to first resolve alleged infractions by informal discussion. If that does not work, then the chapter would file the Violation Report Form and the issue will go to Mediation. The only ones who attend Mediation are the Mediator and the representatives of each sorority involved, including a Chapter Advisor. You should see the section "Panhellenic Mediation Process" in the NPC Manual of Information for more detailed explanation of the Mediation process (Page 85 & 88-90).
PLEASE contact your CPHS for guidance through a judicial issue if ...
- the chapter wants to report a violation, or
- the chapter has a violation filed against it.
We just want to make sure that due-process is followed correctly for you!
Here are some of the forms you might need:
- CPH Violation Report Form ... must be filed within 30 calendar days of the alleged violation.
- CPH Notice of Infraction Form ... must be presented to the President of the accused sorority within 1 week of PH receipt of the Violation Report Form.
- CPH Mediation Summary Report Form ... completed during the mediation meeting.
- CPH Judicial Board Hearing Summary Report Form ... completed during the Judicial Board hearing.
- CPH Judicial Board Hearing Minutes Form ... completed during the Judicial Board hearing.
- CPH Notice of Appeal Form ... must be filed within 7 calendar days of the Judicial Hearing decision should the party found accountable wish to appeal the decision to NPC.
